| Anatomy of a Flyer Tub (Hits: 1447) |
 |
| Flyer Tub waiting for Anatomic Dissection |
The year 2007 presented Flyer Addicts with a unique opportunity. Flyer Addict Jack and Flyer Addict Derek both purchased 2 flying scooter tubs. The goal in this was to understand the workings and different parts of a flying scooter. It also allowed us to actually say we own a flying scooter tub.
Flyer Addict Jack received the delivery on June 23rd and began the hard work of trying to disassemble the tub without destroying it. This set was well used so the disassembly was very difficult and as of today still not fully accomplished.
Below you will find several pictures of the tubs we purchased and of the initial surgery performed on one tub. Study the pictures well because there will be a test later.
The main parts of a flying scooter are the tub, two uprights that hold the front and rear sails to the tub, a crossbar to tie the sails together and a safety cable. |
